About the Program: The California AB (Assembly Bill) 109 VOICE (Ventura Opportunities for Integrating into the Community Environment) program is an Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) model program that provides services to persons who are coming out of the California Department of Corrections (CDCR), are in need of mental health services, and have been designated to be supervised by the Ventura County Probation Department, rather than by parole.

The services provided are outpatient and often take place in the field rather than in the office. However, the office also has a "Welcoming Center" where clients can come to interact, relax, and socialize from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Monday through Friday. This Center provides a space where people coming out of the prison system can share with one another about their challenges with reentry back into mainstream society. Those challenges often represent the greatest obstacles that persons who have been incarcerated experience upon their release from custody.
