Every May we come together to combat stigma, provide support, and educate the public on mental health issues for Mental Health Awareness Month.

To celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month, the Anges Avenue Crisis Residential Treatment (CRT) program in Santa Maria, CA, hosted a wonderful picnic for both members and staff. The food served included homemade barbecue chicken and sides. Aside from an amazing meal, everyone had the chance to share what mental health means to them. To help visualize these concepts, members were encouraged to write their thoughts on a newly-created mural at the program.

Additionally, members received a goodie bag filled with stress balls, journals, and coloring books to help manage their own stress in healthy ways.
