There's something special about therapy dogs that makes them irreplaceable. They provide comfort in moments of distress and are always there to give us a furry hug when we need it most.

It was an emotional day at Sacramento ARISE and EMPOWER as the team said goodbye to their beloved therapy dog, Tucker. He had been with the program since it opened its doors and was a considerable part of the staff's and members' lives.

He was more than just a pet – he was a team member who aided many staff and members through tough times, especially COVID. He participated in program successes and celebrations with everyone. Tucker brought much joy and happiness into many lives, and we are grateful for his profound impact. He was indeed one in a million and will be missed dearly by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
